Exporting via Photoshop

Exporting your album layouts via Photoshop has a few advantages, including versatile colour management and being able to export layered Photoshop files. Read below for tips that help with any questions you might have about this process.

Exporting via Photoshop

Once you've designed an album in Photojunction you'll need to render the print files. We call this process 'exporting'. We recommend exporting via Photoshop as there are a couple key advantages.

1. A more versatile colour management process.
2. Exporting the design as a layered Photoshop file.

Ok sounds good right? It is, but sometimes 'scripting' (the way Photojunction tells Photoshop what to do) can be a tricky process. Here are a few tips that help fix 99% of the questions we get about exporting.

Before you start the export process:

- Open Photoshop and let it finish opening.
- Ensure there are no open images, dialogues, or start screens in Photoshop.
- Close other unnecessary applications, your computer is about to be run through its paces!

During the export process:

- Grab a cup of coffee - it can take a few moments.
- Let Photojunction do it's thing, leave the mouse and keyboard alone.

After the export process:

- Check your exports, cropping, rotation, strokes, black and whites, sepias, alignment, etc.
- Check again.
